The Election Commission of India said all 70 assembly constituencies of the National Capital Territory of Delhi went to polls today in a peaceful and festive atmosphere.

Polling started at 7 am, and will continue till 6 pm, the EC said, adding that the provisional Voter Turnout (VTR) as updated till 5 pm is 57.7 per cent at the polling stations.

“All voters in queue after formal closing hours of polling i.e 6 PM are allowed to cast their vote,” EC said.

Pankaj, a constable and independent candidate from New Delhi assembly constituency of Delhi, said he will work for the public and will solve their issues if he wins.

AAP supremo and former Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal is also contesting from the New Delhi seat.

Talking about his symbol, a shoe, Pankaj said, "I am a Constable in Delhi Police, and I am contesting this poll as an independent candidate...My symbol is a shoe, which is a very strong thing for all the corrupt people... This day will be written in golden words in the history of Democracy...If I will win, I will go to the Vidhan Sabha, if I will lose, I will return to my duty...I have been living in Delhi for the past 40 years and serving in Delhi Police for the past 22 years...I know about all the problems and challenges which the public of Delhi is facing...I will work for the public and will solve their issues..."

Delhi exit poll 2025 LIVE: The voting percentage in Delhi till now stands at 57.70 per cent, according to the Election Commission of India's (EC) 5 pm figures. The North-East district of Delhi has recorded the highest voting percentage, 63.33 per cent, while the lowest polling has been recorded in South East district - 53.77 per cent.

Delhi exit poll 2025 LIVE: The voting percentage in Delhi till now stands at 46.55 per cent, according to the Election Commission of India's (EC) 3 pm figures. The North-East district of the national capital was leading the way with the highest turnout of 52.73 per cent turnout among all districts.

The lowest turnout of 43.10 per cent was recorded in the New Delhi district just behind Central district of where a turnout of 43.45 per cent was recorded at 3 pm.

According to the ECI, the South West district recorded a turnout of 48.32 per cent, East 47.09 per cent, North 46.31 per cent, North West 46.81 per cent, Shahdara 49.58 per cent, South 44.89 per cent, South East 43.91 per cent and West 45.06 per cent, as of 3 pm.

A polling booth in the Vikaspuri assembly constituency of Delhi caught attention on Wednesday with its unique decorations themed 'Chandrayan se chunav tak Bharat ki udaan'.

Volunteers at the polling booth were seen dressed up as astronauts to assist voters in casting their votes. The ambience at the booth was also very space-themed with telescopes and bioscopes installed at the polling booth.

Delhi exit poll 2025 LIVE: Workers of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) held protest over alleged bogus voting in Seelampur assembly constituency.

Voting was briefly halted at a polling booth set up in Aryan Public School in Seelampur over allegations of fake voting.

"A woman voter who had come to vote was told that her vote had already been cast. At that moment, the voting was temporarily halted," news agency ANI quoted Seelampur Block Level Officer Sabina Sadiq as saying.

Delhi Police on Wednesday refuted AAP leader Manish Sisodia's allegation that the BJP was openly taking voters to a building in Jangpura constituency and distributing money to them.

"The allegations of distribution of money could not be substantiated. The situation is under control and the confusion has been cleared," the Delhi Police said in a statement.

Aam Aadmi Party on its official handle on X had alleged that money is being distributed to voters adjacent to the BJP booth in the Jangpura assembly.

Amid voting for Delhi assembly election, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Wednesday raised alleged irregularities at polling booth in the New Delhi constituency, from where former chief minister and party leader Arvind Kejriwal is contesting against Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) Parvesh Verma.

AAP MP Raghav Chadha alleged that relievers, who are designated as polling agents, were reportedly not being allowed entry inside several booths.

Delhi election exit poll 2025 results LIVE: Delhi exit poll 2025 live: In 2020, assembly election in Delhi were held on February 8 across all 70 seats. The counting of votes had taken place on February 11, 2020.

The Election Commission had on Monday issued a notification banning the conduct, publication or publicising of exit poll projections between 7.00 am to 6.30 pm on February 5, when votes will be cast for the Delhi assembly and two bypolls in Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.

According to a notification issued by the EC issued on January 22, in lines with the provisions of the Representation of the People Act, displaying any election matter, including results of any opinion poll or any other poll survey, in any electronic media would be prohibited during the 48-hour period ending with the time fixed for the conclusion of the poll.

According to the Delhi Police, a PCR call was made by one 26-year-old Mohini, a resident of Usmanpur, alleging that her vote had already been cast by someone else.

"The enquiry revealed that confusion arose due to a voter having a similar name, Munni Devi, aged 60 years having the same address. The 60-year-old woman was an earlier tenant at the same address. After verification, the Presiding Officer allowed both women to cast vote," police said.
