The Election Commission of India said all 70 assembly constituencies of the National Capital Territory of Delhi went to polls today in a peaceful and festive atmosphere.
Polling started at 7 am, and will continue till 6 pm, the EC said, adding that the provisional Voter Turnout (VTR) as updated till 5 pm is 57.7 per cent at the polling stations.
“All voters in queue after formal closing hours of polling i.e 6 PM are allowed to cast their vote,” EC said.

The North-East district of Delhi has recorded the highest voting percentage, 63.33 per cent, while the lowest polling has been recorded in South East district - 53.77 per cent.

The lowest turnout of 43.10 per cent was recorded in the New Delhi district just behind Central district of where a turnout of 43.45 per cent was recorded at 3 pm.
According to the ECI, the South West district recorded a turnout of 48.32 per cent, East 47.09 per cent, North 46.31 per cent, North West 46.81 per cent, Shahdara 49.58 per cent, South 44.89 per cent, South East 43.91 per cent and West 45.06 per cent, as of 3 pm.

A polling booth in the Vikaspuri assembly constituency of Delhi caught attention on Wednesday with its unique decorations themed 'Chandrayan se chunav tak Bharat ki udaan'.
Volunteers at the polling booth were seen dressed up as astronauts to assist voters in casting their votes. The ambience at the booth was also very space-themed with telescopes and bioscopes installed at the polling booth.

Delhi Police on Wednesday refuted AAP leader Manish Sisodia's allegation that the BJP was openly taking voters to a building in Jangpura constituency and distributing money to them.
"The allegations of distribution of money could not be substantiated. The situation is under control and the confusion has been cleared," the Delhi Police said in a statement.

According to the Delhi Police, a PCR call was made by one 26-year-old Mohini, a resident of Usmanpur, alleging that her vote had already been cast by someone else.
"The enquiry revealed that confusion arose due to a voter having a similar name, Munni Devi, aged 60 years having the same address. The 60-year-old woman was an earlier tenant at the same address. After verification, the Presiding Officer allowed both women to cast vote," police said.
