Elon Musk, the richest man in the world, shelled out over $290 million last year in a bid to assist GOP leader Donald Trump in the presidential race.
Elon Musk is currently in-charged of Trump's Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), a recently established advisory group tasked with reducing federal spending through mass layoffs and budget cuts.
