New Zealand did the unthinkable and took a 1-0 lead in their three-match Test series in India by beating the hosts by eight wickets in Bengaluru. It is the first time since 1989 that New Zealand have managed to win a Test in India at the latter's home and the first time since 2005 that India have lost a match at the Chinnaswamy Stadium.
