Study projects 13% rise in dengue-related mortality in Pune by 2040

The study warns that rising temperatures and erratic monsoon patterns in India could increase dengue deaths by 13% by 2040 and by 25-40% by mid-century.
The researchers also observed that lower variability in monsoon patterns — characterised by fewer active (wet) and break (dry) phases — is linked to higher dengue cases. (REPRESENTATIVE PHOTO)
